UNITED METHODIST YOUTH AT FUMC
As United Methodists, we recognize young people as full members of the Body of Christ - and young people deserve their own community within the larger Church! At FUMC, our Youth Ministry is the group for all 6th-12th graders to grow in love of God and one another! Take a look below to check out some of our activities and focus areas:
YOUTH EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
Here are some of the regular and upcoming things to look forward to with Youth:
Join Pastor Stephen and friends each Sunday from 5-7pm for Dinner, discipleship, fellowship, and fun at Sunday Night Youth!
The Youth Sunday School class meets each Sunday Morning at 9:45am. Join Mrs. Barbara and friends to ask big questions and learn about God and the Bible!

Friday, October 16th - First UMC Feeding DCHS Football & Cheer
- This is the night First UMC will be providing a meal for the Davie County High School Football and Cheer teams! If Youth are able to participate, they are encouraged to!
Sunday, October 18th - Sunday School, Sunday Night Youth

- We will determine whether Sunday Night Youth is occurring after worship, as we will have just returned from Mission Camp.

Saturday, October 31st - Halloween on Main Street
- First UMC Mocksville will be giving out candy for Halloween on Main Street! If Youth are trick-or-treating, come say hi! If they would like to hand out candy instead, they are welcome to!
Sunday, November 8th - Sunday School, NO SUNDAY NIGHT YOUTH
- Join Mrs. Barbara at 9:30am for Sunday School in the Youth Room! (January 4th is a combined service, so Sunday school is at 9:30am rather than 9:45am)
- No Sunday Night Youth due to Society of Saint Andrew Gleaning Weekend!

YOUTH FOCUS AREAS
Check out the Youth Ministry's core Focus Areas below:
Acts 2:42 tells us that the early Christians devoted themselves to the apostles' teachings and to fellowship with one another through eating and praying together. Join us for Sunday Night Youth as we have dinner and grow in our relationships to one another!
John 13:34-35 tells us of Jesus' call to love one another, reminding us that we will be known as Christians by our love! Join us for Sunday Night Youth as we learn what it means to care for one another in Christian love, and practice outreach to our neighbors!
1 Peter 4:10-11 tells us that we should use what we have to help others through service. Come to Sunday Night Youth to learn more about what serving others looks like, and practice the work of loving and serving others!
Romans 15:4 reminds us that the study of Scripture can encourage us and bring us hope. Part of being a disciple is learning more about God and our relationship to him! Join us at Sunday Night Youth to learn more about God, ask big questions, and understand what it means to be a United Methodist and a follower of Christ.
Psalm 150:6 reminds us of the power and importance of worshipping God. On Sunday mornings, the whole church comes together for worship - join us for Sunday Night Youth to worship with your fellow youth!
